Where do your sessions take place?
Torquay at one of the local beaches — Whites Beach, The Point, Bells Beach, Bells Beach Southside, Point Addis. I’m happy to travel anywhere along the Bellarine/Surf Coast as long as I agree that the location will be fab! If you’re wanting an at home session, also happy to accommodate this.
What time do you conduct your sessions?
Sunrise sessions in summer start between 5:30am - 6am. Sunrise sessions in winter start between 6:30am - 7am.
Sunset sessions in summer start between 7pm - 7:30pm. Sunset sessions in winter start between 4pm - 4:40pm.
Full sun sessions start approximately 2 hours after sunrise or 2 hours before sunset.
Sessions go for approximately 60 minutes, sometimes 90 minutes.
How do I book a session?
Head to my contact page and fill out the form provided; I will get back to you within 48 hours. Once we have a date confirmed, I just require a non-refundable $50 deposit to secure your date and booking. I will be in touch closer to your session to provide further details such as exact time and location.
What should I wear?
For maternity I suggest bringing at least 3 different outfit choices. It’s good to have a variety of clothing options to work with and makes your final gallery seem as though you’ve had a few shoots in one! Bring whatever you are going to feel most comfortable in and what feels like ‘you’. If you’ve found yourself being interested in a shoot with me, you probably aren’t after the white lacey gown look - no shame in that but it isn’t my vibe. Some women do have a set look in mind whereas others need some guidance so as a general rule I always suggester bringing: baggy jeans/pants, a long sleeve shirt, long sleeve baggy cardi, denim shacket/jacket, jumper, singlet, t-shirt, bikini, crop top. Have a look through my Instagram to get an idea of what some ladies wear :) there are no rules though… you do you! A pop of colour is always fun.
For family sessions, please not all white! Casual but comfy - denim, checkers, browns, pops of colour! Again have a look through my IG for some ideas.
Do you provide a wardrobe?
No. Each photoshoot is unique and special to you. I don’t think you should all look the same. In saying that sometimes (and especially if requested) I will bring some props (shells, a sheer material, hats etc). If you have a specific look or vibe in mind and I have something of my own that it’ll suit, always happy to bring that along - whether that’s clothing, an accessory or a prop of some sort.
When is a good time to have maternity photos done?
As a general rule I suggest between 30 and 34 weeks. The bump is bumpin by this point and you aren’t too uncomfortable! I have photographed many women between 34 and 38 weeks though as they have felt completely fine.
What happens if we have to reschedule due to bad weather?
Upon booking I will always ask for a back up date in the event we experience bad weather, which does happen. I will always accommodate a reschedule as best as possible to ensure we are getting the best conditions possible for your shoot! Working outdoors in the elements can be tricky especially living in Victoria so being flexible with the date is pretty necessary!
Do you still photograph weddings?
Yes, depending on the location and my schedule. Bellarine/Surf Coast weddings are preferred.
When will I receive my photos?
Maternity/Family - 4 weeks max. post photoshoot.
Weddings - 8 weeks max. post wedding.
Do you still sell prints?
Sure do - you can see them here.
